A warm welcome to everyone who has recently discovered my work. Connecting my landscape paintings with my ambient music in my last post sparked so many fascinating conversations, and I wanted to share a bit more about how these two practices feed into one another.

The Rhythm of the Studio
For me, painting and composing are not separate processes; they are expressions of the same energy through different mediums. When I work on my forest landscapes, my studio is always filled with sound. Typically, these sounds consist of ambient textures that I am creating in real-time or processing from field recordings.
Bringing the Experience to Life
My goal is to create an immersive environment that allows you to look at a painting and feel the stillness of the woods while sensing the atmospheric shifts of the landscape. As I prepare for the upcoming Affordable Art Fair Battersea Autumn 2026 with DNG Contemporary Art, I am focusing heavily on the intersection of sight and sound. I am curating a body of work where the visual depth of my oil and wax paintings directly reflects the sonic depth of my audio creations.
