About Edinburgh Art Fair
The Edinburgh Art Fair is Scotland's longest running modern and contemporary Art Fair. There will be 60-70 exhibiting galleries from all around the UK, Ireland and abroad to showcase the work of their artists in Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange. Past exhibitors have travelled from as far off as Australia, India, Spain, Italy, France, Argentina, The USA and Canada.
This international Edinburgh Art Fair UK has a reputation for showing high-quality artworks from all four corners of the globe. Galleries from throughout the UK, Europe, and the ROW descend upon O2 Academy Edinburgh every November to showcase the works of their artists, sculptors, designers, makers and creators to a diverse, knowledgeable and appreciative audience.
Buying art at EAF
Artworks in all mediums including paintings, original prints, photography, ceramics, sculpture and glassware is available to buy. Prices range from £100 to £50,000 so there is sure to be something to suit all tastes and budgets. As the EAF is a “gallery led fair”, all the work will have been vetted for quality prior to the event.
When is best to visit? The preview night, if you can, would be a great option, as you can dress up and enjoy complimentary wine and buy artwork you love before someone else snaps it up!. Fridays tend to be quieter so you can have an easier time viewing the artwork without feeling like you are in the way someone's view. Saturdays sometimes you'll find more families out and about and Sunday is the last frantic buying day and is usually hectic but lots of fun. Every day you will be a wonderful day out though really!
More about EAF The EAF brings together upwards of 60 galleries all showcasing the latest works by their represented artists. Most of exhibitors are based outside Scotland so you have an opportunity to view and purchase artwork that you would never normally find in this country.
Artwork not to be missed by international artist Peter Corr
I am a contemporary abstract landscape artist and I am delighted to be showing new work (above) with the The Darryl Nantais Gallery Ltd. We will be taking a selection of new artworks ranging from 50 x 50 cm canvases to the larger scale 130 x 100 cm paintings. All the works use oil and cold wax medium and exhibit rich and varied surfaces, emphasising texture and mark making. My work with the Darryl Nantais Gallery can be found at the Linton 59 stand. Please email enquiries@linton59.co.uk to request a complimentary ticket for 2 people for the Private View. There is a limited number - first come first served. We are very much looking forward to seeing you there!
